Manchester Christmas Markets depends on four basic elements: tree up, lights on, Zippy on the roof and markets running.
The opening session to the public was on 10th November, and it will continue until 20th December. This famous festive market has more than 300 beautifully festooned stalls and chalets based in central Manchester.
Once again, Albert Square has the main market hub; it is in front of Manchester Town Hall, and there, the wooden stalls will remain open until 21st December.

Being stretch across 10 sites, Manchester Christmas Markets offers a wide range of products: European and local producers sell from fine amber jewelry, handcrafted leather bags, and top-quality bonsai trees, to handmade Belgian kitchenware, Hungarian goulash, Spanish paella, framed photo prints and French soaps.
Moreover, we cannot forget the vegetarian food, the famous and traditional bratwurst, and for those with a sweet tooth, the choices are even more mouth-watering. All bars at the markets serve hot drinks from the same mugs, bringing each year a new design. For 2017 they have created new stackable mugs with festive characters, being possible for you to choose whether you return the mug to any bar or take it home with you as a souvenir.
It is also relevant to mention that in the heart of this buzzing city, while Christmas Markets festive event is still occurring, dogs are not allowed, with the exception of guide dogs; and even visitors with small children and young families are advised to avoid Albert Square as much as they can during peak hours.
