The Four Seasons Hotel is a five-star hotel designed by Adam Tihany a New York-based designer. It was recognized as the hotel of the year at the recent AHEAD MEA Hospitality Awards and also was on top of the urban hotels’ category.
This type of hotel, according to Stragiotto, is unusual in this region because of the small size of its interiors.
“Luxury in Dubai used to be about big spaces, large lobbies, and dimensions that give that perception of grandeur and luxury,” he says in a movie that the famous platform Dezeen filmed at the Four Seasons Hotel DIFC. “With this hotel, we wanted to have something tailored to a luxury lifestyle – an intimately scaled place where you feel very good.”
“Adam wanted to introduce a property that was focused more on details,” Stragiotto explains. “Even a room that is supposed to be a meeting space becomes a place that is an extension of your living room.”
The hotel is the second venue that the company has opened in Dubai, following a mesmerizing and giant resort at Jumeirah Beach. Besides its small size, this magnificent place features six floors of rooms and suites with the best luxury furniture, as well as a restaurant, bars and spa facilities for guests to enjoy. This amazing building also offers a sky bar and a cigar lounge at the top of the building called the Churchill Club.
“From the moment that the guests arrive, there is immediately the perception of attention being paid to them,” Stragiotto says. “Because of the size of the hotel, it allows you to be more personal.”
